In maths we have been learning to recognise our shapes. We have made shape pictures, have gone on a hunt around the school to find shapes and even made tasty shape biscuits.
Children learned all about the Hindu festival of lights - Diwali. They acted out the story of Rama and Sita, made traditional Indian sweets, created their own Rangoli patterns, danced, and even got the chance to play traditional drums called tabla with the help of expert Jeevan in one busy session in nursery.
Inspired by the Julia Donaldson story we made wands and magic spells, painted with sticks and dressed up as witches and wizards to act out our own magical tales.
