Welcome to our Class Page where you can see all of the exciting things that we do in Class One!
Our Class Teacher is Mrs Jones and our Teaching Assistant is Mrs Portelli. On a Wednesday, Miss Martin is our teacher.
Every Tuesday morning Mrs Omoyibo-Walsh takes our class for reading and maths.
IMPORTANT DATE- 27/3/15 Dress up as a king, queen, knight or princess!
Our trip to Caerphilly Mountain Range to celebrate the end of our topic 'Holes, Spaces and Hiding Places.'
We had a great day visiting the Badger Wood, Fairy Forest and toasted marshmallows on the fire!
Snacks - in line with the school's healthy eating policy, we will be providing the children with a healthy snack during the morning playtime. The cost of this will be £1 per week, to be paid on a weekly basis every Friday.
Please enclose the money in a clearly marked envelope/money bag with your child's name and give it to Mrs Portelli on a Friday morning. Many thanks.

Welsh Speaker of the Week
12/1/15 This week Dylan has been trying hard to speak Welsh! Ti'n seren!
Curriculum
Religion: We follow the 'Come and See' Catholic Primary Religious Education Programme. Our current topic is 'Celebrating', during which we will learning about different celebrations and celebrations in Church. Our next topic is 'Gathering' where we will be looking at the Mass and celebrating different things we do together.
Literacy: This term the children will be working on letters and sounds, and sharing books together.
Numeracy: This term, number work will include: Number recognition, counting and ordering.
Context/Topic: We follow the Cornerstones programme for our Context/topic work, and this term our topic is 'Dragon Tales.' We will be visiting Cardiff Castle and learning about Welsh kings and queens and listening to Welsh folk tales.
Welsh: We are already beginning to use lots of Welsh on the carpet and incidentally around the classroom. We also watch Fflic a Fflac- a Welsh language programme during milk time to supplement this.
