St David's Day Celebration
Class 1 performed a Welsh song to the whole school as part of St Mary's Eisteddfod.
Children came to school dressed as a character from their favourite book. Pupils from the junior classes read the books to the children from the infant classes before everyone in the school enjoyed a parade in the playground.
We met Cardiff Castle's resident Knight and enjoyed a lesson in how to defeat the dragon and save Mrs Walsh. We made up our own battle cry and the pupils took great delight in beating the teachers in the "Feed the Dragon" game.
July 13, 2017
We celebrated the end of our Reception year and our final topic - "Teeny Tiny Things" with a Mini-beast Party.
Children made beautiful pictures, minibeast cookies and jelly before donning party hats and going on on a mini-beast hunt. We played party games including "pin the wings on the bee" and enjoyed some stories, dancing and summer treats on a day to remember!
