Class 3

Croeso i'r Dosbarth 3 (Blwyddyn 1/2)!

Welcome to Class 3 (Year 1/2)!

Teacher: Mrs J Laydon

Teaching Assistant: Mrs D Portelli

We are now well into the Spring term. It has been a busy half term so far! We successfully and colourfully celebrated St David's Day on March 1st by entering (and winning) handwriting, creative writing and art competitions. The winners were Alex, Baz, Alicja, Ailsa and Dylan. Congratulations to them! We celebrated world book day with a class reading session, written book reviews and a class, key stage and whole school photo! Can you spot your 'Wally'? Our Context topic is 'Wriggle and Crawl'. A bug hunt at Cosmeston Country Park and Lakes will engage and excite us , and hopefully we will find lots of Mini-Beasts! We are learning about Special Meals in Religion, and are making an effort to attend Friday Mass in the school Hall at 8.30 am during Lent.

World Book Day 2016

Welcome back to St Mary's after the summer holidays.

We have a really exciting term ahead!

Our new RE topic is all about families. Many thanks for sharing your lovely family and baby photos with us.

The new Context topic is Family Album-which as you can imagine needs family photos-again many thanks for your support in lending us your precoius photos!

Mrs Portelli has created an exciting role play corner..An olden days house. Mr Portelli has even made you a kitchen range for the children to pretend to cook all sorts of delicious healthy meals!

We look forward to working together to ensure your children are happy, successful and fulfill their potential this year.

Please may I remind you that we are a healthy school, therefore if you want to pay for class fruit we will prepare a friut snack for your child every day at te cost of £1.50 per week. Otherwise please allow your child to bring only fruit as a snack.

Many thanks.
