Croeso i Dosbarth 9! Welcome to Class 9!
Welcome to the Class 9 homepage, where you will find lots of useful information and news about the exciting things we do in class.
Last updated: 17th February 2014.
Dawid because he is always working hard and is an excellent group worker.
Jack because he did a great Welsh conversation and uses incidental Welsh. Ardderchog!
All children need to spend at least 10-15 minutes reading at home every day.
Similarly, 10-15 minutes should be spent on recalling multiplication tables.
Each pupil will be given Literacy and Maths homework each week, relevant to what we have been learning about in class. They have been given dedicated Homework Books to complete this in. Please ensure this is back in school every Wednesday.
Monday - P.E.
Friday - Games
Please make sure P.E. kits are in school on Mondays and Fridays.
In Religion our topic is Mission. This week we have learnt about our Diocese and we have done an ibook to tell people all about our Bishop and his seat (the Cathedral).
In English we are reading Stormbreaker by Anothony Horowitz, we finally finished it! We're not going to give anything away but you will find the books in librarys and shops. Now we have to finish our story map, it might take a while! We all found this book amazing and very interesting. We highly recommend this book to anyone.
Spellings
Every pupil has two copies of the term's spelling booklet: one to be kept at home and one in school so they can learn their spellings for our weekly test every Tuesday. These spellings will have a common pattern each week, and aim to extend vocabulary.
In context our topic is Champions.

In Cymraeg we have just completed our 'Fi' work. It's all about us!
In games we are doing rugby (when we can ). In gym we have loads of different shapes and levels, this week we acted out a scene from Stormbreaker!
