Mini Vinnies

St Mary's now has its own St Vincent de Paul Society group called The Mini Vinnies. Members from Year 4 to Year 6 volunteered to join the organisation and are working to makes lives better for families and people in need, in the local community and around the world.

Last year representatives raised more than £100 in their first few months and used that money to buy nappies and household supplies for a local family. They sent Easter baskets to the residents of Nazareth House Care Home in Cardiff and made bunches of daffodils to bring cheer to local senior citizens.

As Mini Vinnies, the youngsters have their own 'treasured' Prayer, Pledge and Badge, a dedicated website and a range of bright and colourful documents which guide them in their formative steps - helping and enabling them to become in every sense, young Vincentians - or 'Mini Vinnies'.

We are delighted to announced that following an election the officers of this year's Mini Vinnies' committee have been selected.

They are:

Chair - Gwilym

Vice-chair - Alesha

Secretary - Charley and Seren

Treasurer -  Sophie Usher and Libby.
