St Mary's Catholic Primary School

In Jesus' footsteps we learn, love and grow together to be the best that we can be!

Thank you to all the volunteers and those who came along to ensure this was another fantastic fete.

We asked for your help and support and once again the response was amazing. We received hundreds of bottles for the bottle stall, scores of gift bags and boxes.

We asked for help and volunteers arrived on Friday afternoon to help set up the hall and were in the school early again on Saturday morning, to ensure all was ready to open the gates at 1pm, to hundreds of people from the school community who came to spend their money and support St Mary's.

The money is being counted and we will let you know how much we have raised before the end of term.

Class 7 won the school fete bottle stall challenge for 2017. They took the lead from Class 4 on Thursday and were crowned champions on Friday, just 24 hours before the fete, having earned 780 points for their donations.

Bottles of pop earn 5 points, beer 10 points, wine 20 points and champagne or spirits an impressive 30 points.

A big thank you for your generous donations.

The final scores

The final preparations are being made for the school fete. A big thank you to everyone who has donated items to sell as well as bottles for the bottle stall and gift boxes. More donations will be gratefully received on Friday.

Class 8 have been busy making badges and Class 3 has been producing their own playdough, ready to sell on the day. Everyone is welcome to come along. Gates open at 1pm on Saturday.

Pupils from class 3 have been making scented playdough to sell at the fete.

IT’S that time of year again when we ask you to dig deep and help us raise as much money as possible for your school.

We are sending home a box or a sealed bag with every pupil and asking for your help to fill it, with new and secondhand items, which will be sold at the school fete.

With your help we can ensure the children of St Mary’s get as many extra learning experiences as possible, including theatre trips, educational visits and workshops and continue to fund the school’s laptops and ipads for every class, in the next academic year.

You will also find raffle tickets enclosed. If you would like to purchase some, or all of these tickets, simply return the ticket stubs and money to the office, or give them to your child's class teacher.

We are also appealing for donations for the bottle, toy and bric-a-brac stalls as well as for volunteers to help on the day. See the poster below for more information.
