St Mary's Catholic Primary School

In Jesus' footsteps we learn, love and grow together to be the best that we can be!

It is a very busy week in Class 3.

Here is a quick guide to our weekly schedule:

The morning is divided into two lessons, one English and one Maths, broken up with morning break at 10.15am.

Lunch-time begins at 11.45 and lasts one hour.

Every afternoon children work in groups to complete an activity as part of Guided Group Reading. Lessons in Context, PE, RE, Science or Welsh follow in the afternoon sessions throughout the week.

As part of Guided Group Reading children have the opportunity to spend time in the role play area, writing area and reading corner.

On Friday afternoons, pupils get the chance to choose their own activity through our Pupil Voice scheme.

Reading books should be returned every day. They will be changed on a Friday.

Big Maths tests will be taken on a Thursday.

Spellings will be tested on a Friday

Homework will usually be issued on a Friday and should be returned by Wednesday morning.

Children should bring PE kits to school every Wednesday.

Any questions,  please ask Miss Hogan or Mrs Thomas.
