Governing Body
St Mary's is a voluntary aided school. This means that governors have certain responsibilities which include:

ensuring Catholic teaching is included and liaising with the Parish Priest to support the school;
-
determining the admission policies;
-
employing school staff;
-
managing finances;
-
owning and managing the school buildings including paying for maintenance and structural improvements.
The Governing Body play a key role in deciding the school's strategy so that the children learn effectively and achieve the highest standards. The Governing body also provides the headteacher and staff with support, advice and information.
